Join us at Impressions Gallery on Monday 27th January between 5-7pm for an open ideas exchange between people from across Bradford and National Science and Media Museum staff.

Coming out of Above the Noise: 15 Stories From Bradford exhibtion, we’re creating an ongoing forum which connects National Science and Media Museum staff with people, groups and orgainisations across Bradford.

The event will kick off with a series of very short 3 minute lightening talks as a way of exchanging ideas, activities and seeking new collaborators. The talks will be followed by lots of chance to informally chat and meet new people.

Speakers:

Jen Sobol, Learning and New Focus Manager at Impressions Gallery will talk about their ongoing work with young people.

Kathryn Penny, Head of Screen Operation at the National Science and Media Museum, will highlight the Yorkshire Games Festival 2020 and opportunities for collaboration for 2021.

Zahra Niazi, from the Stronger Communities Together team at Bradford Council will introduce the Intercultural Cities Network.

Ellie Groom, Curator of Television and Broadcast at the National Science and Media Museums, talks about the new permanent gallery in planning Sound and Vision.

Sajidah Shabir will speak about what’s coming up for Speakers’ Corner.

Stephen Goodfellow who volunteers with the museum will share the museum’s current work on object handling.

France-Leigh Hadrysiak and Mark Dobson will introduce The LEAP (Bradford’s ACE Creative People and Places project).

Alice Parsons from the National Science and Media Museum’s Interpretation Team will give a preview of on their forthcoming project ILab.
